Friday Backpack

The Friday Backpack Ministry provides free food items in the student's backpack each Friday to assist families who are struggling to make ends meet.

The ministry provides supplemental food for children who would otherwise go without food for the weekend. Each Friday various food items are placed in a backpack by church volunteers and brought to the elementary and middle/high school.

Love INC averages 20 students who receive bags of food each Friday.

Teachers, counselors and the school nurse can recommend a student if they feel a student would benefit from this program. Often the teacher sees a great improvement in the student’s learning ability if they come to school without being hungry in school.

Volunteer for Friday Backpack

Love INC provides bags from kindergarten through 8th grade. High School students also receive food items by going to various administrative staff as needed. Each of Love INC’s partner churches is designated a month during the school year where they are responsible to donate funds to purchase the food items, pack the bags and deliver them to the schools by a specified date.

Love INC appreciates your support and generosity in helping us with this program.

The Birthday Club

Love INC, River of Life Community Church and Saint Dominic’s Catholic Church partner to offer the Birthday Club to the students who are eligible for the Friday Backpack students.

Students who participate in the weekly Friday Backpack program receive a cake mix, frosting, candles, napkins and plates to celebrate each student’s birthday.
