As we start out a New Year praying it will be better than the last, peoples’ needs still continue. Struggles do not care about what date it is or what has happened in the past. Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC) is finding that so very true. Our clients still find themselves with no work, no money, and almost nowhere to turn. This is what has happened with one of our neighbors in need.

Soon after the New Year, with the cold weather of January gripping our community, this person found vehicle mechanical issues can be very expensive and can come when least expected.

This neighbor had to walk or ask a friend for a ride everywhere they needed to go including a doctor appointment, grocery shopping, picking up medication, and other necessary errands. About the only places they could go on their own was to the Senior Citizens Center and Dollar General.

Putting pride aside, this neighbor called Love INC for possible assistance with the needed car repair. Love INC contacted the Canton Ministerial Association to see if any assistance could be offered since this type of request is not something usually considered. God stepped in and put it on everyone’s hearts to assist with this request.

We need to remember to open our hearts and our minds to people who are in need and listen to how God directs us. God’s love is never ending and is witnessed many times at Love INC.
