As we start out a New Year praying it will be better than the last, peoples’ needs still continue. Struggles do not care about what date it is or what has happened in the past. Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC) is finding that so very true. Our clients still find themselves with no work, no money, and almost nowhere to turn. This is what has happened with one of our neighbors in need.

Very shortly after the New Year with the cold weather of January gripping our community, this person found out mechanical problems with a vehicle is very expensive and comes when least expected.

He had to walk or ask a friend for a ride everywhere he needed to go including a doctor appointment, grocery shopping, picking up medication, and so forth. About the only places he could go on his own was to the Senior Citizens Center and Dollar Store.

Putting pride aside, this client called Love INC for possible assistance with the needed car repair. Love INC contacted the Canton Ministerial Association to see if they might be able to assist. Since this type of request is not something usually considered, God stepped in and put it on our hearts to assist with this request.

We need to remember to open our hearts and our minds to people who are in need and listen to how God directs us. God’s love is never ending and is witnessed many times at Love INC.
